I was up in Broadway this morning so thought while on holidays I'd drop into the original Toby's Estate.
The cafe was very busy and whilst in line I noticed through the glass at the back is the factory floor where all the Toby's Estate coffee is ground and packaged. I ordered a latte and a ricotta cannoli.
The cannoli was beautiful and fresh. Unfortunately the coffee was bitter and had little crema. I considered sending it back but couldn't be bothered waiting a long time for a replacement.
For a cafe with so much hype I must admit I was rather disappointed.
Thank goodness the Campos headquarters in Newtown does live up to the hype. I highly recommend it!
