Zest

We had a fantastic dinner last night at Zest in Nelson Bay. This restaurant has a chefs hat and I can see why.
Zest offers a two and three course option. We chose the two course option and decided to go with mains and dessert. The service was fantastic and the food exceptional. We both had the pork belly with pear foam, wilted greens and pancetta.
For dessert we shared a passionfruit souffle with raspberry sorbet and a tart tartine with ginger ice cream. Both were incredible and well worth the additional 15 minute wait as stated on the menu.
I had a coffee to finish which was possibly the best coffee I've ever had in a regional restaurant.
Come to think of it, I think this could be the best meal I've ever had in a regional restaurant. A very well deserved chefs hat indeed.
