I had a lovely dinner at Pendolino in The Strand Arcade tonight. I've been wanting to go there since it opened and I'm so glad I finally have. The food was sensational and the service was faultless.
They have a very impressive wine list and olive oil list too.
Besides the olive oil, the star of the show here is their in-house made pastas. They are so light and fresh, a world away from the run of the mill pasta most restaurants dish up.
It was a full house tonight. I heard that a few of the authors here for the Sydney Writers' Festival have been dropping in with their entourage. If I was looking after an author from overseas or interstate, I'd be proud to take them to Pendolino and show them some of the best Italian food in Sydney.
