Pier

The big story in the Good Living today was that Greg Doyle (Pier) is handing back his three chefs hats as he wants to reconnect with his old clientele and return to a more relaxed dining experience.
Greg said he lost a lot of loyal customers as Pier was seen as an 'experience' restaurant.
We went there for my birthday lunch this year and what an experience it was! (the photo at the top of my blog was taken there).

The food was incredible and like three hatted Marque, it really was an experience restaurant.
I'm so glad I had the chance to dine there before Greg made this decision.

From the sublime to a truly more relaxed style of dining, I had dinner at Bill and Toni's tonight.
Not the original but the new one within the Central Hotel. We had veal schnitzel which was very yummy!
They have yummy pub style food at a very reasonable price.
