Surry Hills adventures

I went on a mission this morning to locate Single Origin Roasters as I've heard it's some of the best coffee in Sydney. Much to my disppointment when I arrived it was shut (only open on weekdays) so I headed up to Toast also on Reservoir St as I've had a good coffee from there before. They serve Toby's Estate coffee. Unfortunately today the coffee wasn't how I remembered it to be, a bit too milky with not enough of a coffee hit. I wish I had've kept on walking further up Reservoir St to Bangbang cafe. The food and coffee are apparently incredible. Bangbang is owned by an ex DJ from the UK (who used to have residency at Ministry of Sound). I look forward to trying it soon.

I walked the steep climb up Albion St and located Bruschetteria 102.
I've heard good things about this quirky cafe that specialises in Bruschetta. Can't wait to go there!

I finally got to the top of the hill and turned left on to Crown St and made my way up to the cnr of Oxford St.
I had lunch at Grill'd which has a reputation for having some of the best burgers in town.
I wasn't disappointed. I had the beef burger with mustard and pickles. It was absolutely delicious. They also have gluten free burgers. The service is exceptional and the food fantastic. What a shame the Surry Hills markets were a wash out by the time I got there. Why does it always rain on long weekends?....
